Instead of criticizing people for their mistakes and shortcomings (in Michael’s case, these are alleged) while they are alive, we need to start forgiving and letting things go. Yes, Whitney Houston was on drugs at a time and point in her life. Was she ever praised for getting her life together? Hardly. Yes, Michael Jackson was accused of sexual abuse. Was it ever let go when he was proven not guilty? No. Instead the general public waited for his death to finally let it go and honor the fact that he was one of the greatest performers to ever live. Moral of the story is don’t criticize while they are alive and turn around and preach about them when they pass. If you showed them a portion of this positive attention while they were alive, they’d probably still be here today to do what they did best, and that’s entertain.
